The International Program on Urban Governance (IPUG) recently welcomed its new students at the New Student Orientation, marking the beginning of another exciting academic year.

The Program Director, Sang-Ju YU (游尚儒), two faculty members, Michal Grzegorzewski and Tamara Klicek, along with administrative staff attended the orientation to welcome the new students and introduce them to the IPUG community. The gathering also provided an opportunity for new students to meet faculty, staff, and senior students in a relaxed and friendly setting.

This year, our new students come from Thailand, Eswatini, Indonesia, and Somaliland, bringing diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences to the IPUG community. During the orientation, the students introduced themselves and shared interesting and fun facts about their home countries, allowing everyone to learn more about different cultures and perspectives.

Two senior students also shared their experiences of studying at IPUG. Their sharing covered a wide range of topics, including their self-development goals during the two years of study, leisure activities, student clubs, local food, and travel experiences. Through their stories, the new students gained a better understanding of what academic and everyday life at IPUG can be like.

The orientation was a meaningful opportunity for students to connect with one another and begin building relationships within the IPUG community. We look forward to seeing our new students grow, explore, and create their own memorable experiences during their time at IPUG.
