【Special Speech】: Photos from Designing Events for Generation “Z” – by Professor David Hind
Thank you to everyone who joined yesterday’s event with Professor David Hind. He shared some great ideas on how to design events for Generation Z. By 2030, 75% of the workforce will be made up of Gen Z, so it’s important to understand what they like. Professor Hind talked about the key steps to successful event planning: Research, Planning, Execution, and Evaluation. He also explained how important marketing is to get Gen Z interested in your event, making sure it’s not only exciting but also affordable.
A key message from the talk was the importance of social responsibility. Generation Z cares a lot about the world around them and expects events to do the same. Making your event sustainable—by reducing waste and considering the environment—makes it more appealing to them . The more Eco-friendly your event is, the more likely Gen Z will be interested.
Professor Hind also shared tips on how to get Gen Z engaged using influencers, building a strong brand, and being active on social media. He encouraged using short videos, music, and catchy phrases to make content stand out. Keep these ideas in mind for your future events, and stay tuned for more events ahead!
